DESIGNRAIL® CREATE YOUR OWN
DesignRail® Aluminum Railing Frame Systems combine the durability of aluminum with innovative design details to ensure lasting beauty, structural integrity, and afford-ability while drastically reducing long term maintenance expenses. All rails and stanchions are made from high strength 6000-series aluminum extrusions that can be cut and assembled on site using pre-engineered components that snap and screw together. DesignRail® Aluminum Railing Systems are easily adaptable to any project: interior or exterior, commercial or residential. Simply choose the style options that are best for your project to custom design your railing.
POSTS
Posts are made from 2-3/8” square tube extrusions in three distinct cross-sectional profiles: Standard, Commercial Base Mount, and Heavy Duty. Each is specially engineered to provide optimal structural strength and design performance for specific usage and load conditions.
Posts for horizontal railings come pre-cut for 36”, 38” and 42” railing heights. These posts also come pre-drilled for cables when using horizontal cable infill.
Pre-drilled stair posts are available for Base Mount, Stanchion Mount, and Fascia Mount configurations. These posts come in 3 standard railing heights; actual post height will vary from 44-in. to 60-in. depending on post height and mounting method selected. When using horizontal cable infill, these posts will come pre-drilled in three standard angle ranges: 23-28 degrees, 29-34 degrees, 35-39 degrees. Custom angles available at an extra charge.
Custom posts, and stair posts using Fascia Bracket mount, and other special conditions, including ramps, must be cut to height and drilled in the field. Extrusions can be ordered in 10-ft or 20-ft lengths for that purpose.
MOUNTING OPTIONS
INFILL
TOP RAILS
Top Rails come in 5 styles and are sold in 10 and 20 foot lengths that can be trimmed to size in the field.
Graspable Top Rails (Series 150) are used for stairs, and attached to the faces of the posts using Rail Connecting Blocks (RCBs).
Rectangular, Round, Elliptical, and Low-Profile Top Rails (Series 200, 300, 350 & 450) rest on the tops of the posts and are secured with stainless steel screws.
FRAME COLORS
Durable, powder coated finishes adhere to AAMA-2604 coating specifications for superior color retention, impact resistance, and weather protection. Available in 14 standard colors and over 200 custom colors. Including our Express Yourself line of BOLD colors (subject to availability).
